I am a graduate of the University of Alberta (Edmonton), receiving both my BSc and BPt there. Since graduation I have earned several care specialties. My earliest specialties were in acute cardio-respiratory care and acute post-operative surgical care… where I practiced these in the ICU and acute surgical departments in both Edmonton and Abbotsford hospitals.
Since leaving the public system and entering the private sector at McCallum Physiotherapy in 1991, I have continued with acute post-operative patient care and acquired manual therapy skills during my 30 years with Erl Pettman. I have also pursued my love for sports medicine, where I devoted 35 years as a committed volunteer in the Abbotsford community as both an organizer, and active physiotherapist for medical services from the international to local level of sporting events. I have been inducted into the Abbotsford Sports Hall of Fame in the Sport Builder category.
Currently, I continue to pursue my love for acute post-operative patient care and manual therapy. Along with my clinical specialty in joint replacement treatment, I complement all of these with my 20 year certification in acupuncture. I always provide individually designed exercise programs for my patients, and the full gym facilities at McCallum Physiotherapy make this easily possible.
